Born in Paris, Tristan Graduated from the National Film and Television School. His graduation film « Birdhouse » was selected to close the New Cinematographer’s night of the BSC events in 2014. His film ‘My stuffed granny’ won Best British Animation Award (Mc Laren Award) at the Edinbourgh International Film Festival.
In 2016 his music video Take me dancing won ‘Best new comer’ at the UKMVA and In 2019 his music video Moss Kena ‘ New Start’ alongside with his 2nd Unit Feature film ‘Amundsen‘ was nominated for best cinematography at the prestigious Camerimage festival. The same year his debut feature Amare Amaro was nominated for best cinematography at Taormina film festival. In 2022 his short film Edicius gets nominated for best cinematography at the BSC Short Film Cinematography Competition. A year later he filled in for cinematographer Larry Smith on the last shooting block of Rogue Agent for Netflix. Tristan also paired with Actor-Director Karen Bryson on her new short film Monochromatic which won many prizes at prestigious festivals, including best cinematography at Tweetfest. The same year he also collaborated with director Katia Shannon for her short film Us & In Between for which he won best cinematography at Lift OFF festival.
In 2024 he shot Idris Elba’s last short film titled “Rust to Dreams” starring British singer-songwriter Seal.
Combining both cities’ fashion and cinematographic culture, Tristan’s taste for aestheticised composition and subtle european lighting has attracted many narrative projects over the years.
